In this second edition of EXEBIT we plan to reincarnate the most popular of all on line competitions; the Online Programming Contest. The contest will feature challenging problems ,which we promise you can't google, and will be algorithm intensive. All you need is basic C/C++ coding knowledge, a browser (we like Firefox) and a text editor (some say vi, some say emacs, we prefer butterflies). So, if choosing your clothes every morning involves bipartite matching, your daily schedule follows the mantra, "Greed is good", or if you've ever dreamt of applying the stable marriage algorithm in more ways than one, be there! Contest starts on 28th Feb 2-7 pm
Prize Money:
1. Contest is open to students only. 2. Maximum of 3 members in a team are allowed. One person can’t be part of more than one team. 3. Languages allowed: C/C++. 4. The constraints on time, memory, etc. shall be specified separately for each problem. 5. For all the problems, unless otherwise specified, the input should be read from stdin and the output should be written to stdout. 6. Maximum of 20 submissions will be allowed for a problem. 7. No system calls will be allowed, other than reading from stdin and writing to stdout. 8. Compilation will be done on gcc/g++ (version 3.2.3). We advise you to write compiler version independent code. 9. Any sort of malacious activity will lead to immediate disqualification of the team in question. 10. Admins have the authority to suspend/disqualify any team at any stage of the contest, if they suspect any malpractices/plagiarism. 11. In case of a tie, ranks will be based on the time of the last correct submission. If a tie still remains, we will break it on the basis of total number of submissions. 1. I am newbie to programming contests. Where and how can I practice for it? There are a lot of resources on the web.
2. How long would this contest be held? Bhargav Narayanan Kashyap R Puranik
