SA Tourism takes tourism businesses online
Durban – The South African Tourism Online Marketing Educational Seminar has this year added two workshops, Google University (Google’s educational programme for Google Adwords) and SAT FREESITE, to the arsenal of online tools small businesses operating in the tourism industry can use to grow their bottom line. Efficient use of the two products, alongside the rich marketing seminar content, is an integral part of this year’s SA Tourism Online Marketing Seminar, taking place at the premier travel trade show, Indaba.
The Online Marketing Seminar is in its second year and is already entrenched as an effective way to empower operators in the tourism sector to make the best of opportunities available to them. The Online Marketing Seminar takes place on 12 – 13 May, at Indaba in Albert Luthuli Convention Centre in Durban, KwaZulu Natal.
This year, the seminar been divided into two components to cater for Beginner and Advanced users. Attendants will be able to choose any of the following sessions:
– Online Advertising Basics – A 360° view of digital marketing
– Tips for your website: From Brochure-ware to interacting with the consumer
– Demystifying technology
– Real time bookings – The Pro’s and Con’s
– Online Reputation Management: What are people saying about your brand online

The workshops section will focus on Google University and SAT FREESITE sessions. SAT FREESITE is giving away websites to small businesses. This self-provisioning platform gives SMME’s the ability to create and manage their own websites, with no development or design costs.
Only businesses which register with the Online Marketing Seminar will be given access to the seminars, Google University and SAT FREESITE.
