For accommodation, registrations etc, we - the Hospitality ('Hospi', affectionately) Team- are at your disposal. We can help you better if you intimate us about your plans in advance, so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

Reaching IITM
To Reach IIT Madras:
- From Chennai Central Station:
- Hire an auto/taxi to IIT Madras (inside).
- You can catch a bus just outside the Chennai Central. 18B and 19S are the direct buses to IITM (Get down at Gandhi Mandapam/IITM). From the gate there are IITM buses to the hostels.
- The fare from Chennai Central will cost you approximately Rs.120 for auto and Rs. 200 for a taxi till the Main Gate. For your convenience, fix the rate before boarding the auto.
- From Egmore Station:
- Hire an auto/taxi to IIT Madras (inside).
- Catch 23C which heads directly to IITM. From the main gate there are IITM buses to the hostels.
- The auto and taxi fares from Egmore are approximately Rs.100 and Rs.150 respectively.
- From Airport:
- Hire an auto/taxi to IIT Madras (inside).
- Catch PP21 directly to institute or 21G to Gandhi Mandapam which is at a stone throws distance from out gate. From the main gate there are IITM buses to the hostels.
- From CMBT:
- Hire an auto/taxi to IIT Madras (inside).
- Or catch Bus number 23M or 5E which come directly to the institute. From the main gate there are IITM buses to the hostels.

What after Reaching the Exebit Festival Area?
You need to come to the Hospi Control Room, which will be set up in Mahanadi Hostel for boys and Sharavati hostel for girls.

How do I get accommodation?
First and foremost, please ensure that you register your contingent with the hospitality team on the Exebit website as early as possible and have received EAAR. In the absence of such registration, you might be forced to arrange for your accommodation outside the campus because of limited availability of accommodation. Hospitality registrations will be opened in the second week of February.
Upon reaching IITM, you are required to come to the Hospitality Control Room straightaway. This is where you have to register yourself. Nominal charges for accommodation will be collected here depending on the number of days you wish to avail this facility. Caution money will also be taken at time of registration which will be refunded at time of leaving.
Please make note that you will be required to share the accommodation. Requests for individual rooms or any other complaints in this regard will not be entertained. Also the accommodation will be restricted only to the students.
All participants are required to carry their college identity cards, EAAR and bona fide certificates in order to make avail of the above mentioned facilities. The participants are also expected to follow certain Rules and Regulations to help us maintain the festive atmosphere in the institute.

What should I bring with me?
1) It is mandatory for all participants to carry college IDs and bonafide certificates. 2) Mattresses and pillows are the only things that shall be provided to you if your accommodation is confirmed. All the other things which participants require for the events or otherwise including locks for the rooms should be arranged by themselves.

How much does it cost?
This has not yet been decided, it will be approximately Rs. 100 per person per day.

Where do I eat?
The Exebit festival area will have a lot of food stalls that will take care of your appetite. In addition to the stalls, there are lots of eating joints in the campus- Café Coffee Day (CCD), Tiffany's, Basera, Campus Café and Gurunath, the first three being open post midnight.

What about the hospital facility?
There is an institute Hospital located close to Gajendra Circle. In case you fall ill, you are advised to report to us at control room. We shall make appropriate arrangements for you to be treated at the Institute hospital.

What about the security facilities?
IITM campus has a vigilant and round-the-clock security service. You have to take care of your belongings and we are not responsible for their loss.
